State Senator Jim Rosapepe is Hiring a Community Liason and Field Ops Director!

Job Title: State Legislative Campaign Field Director
Location: College Park & Laurel, MD

Job Description:

State Senator Jim Rosapepe's Team is recruiting a well-organized, driven, self-starter to manage field operations of the 2022 Primary (July 19th) and General elections for the Team and, in the General, the whole Democratic ticket. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Will report to the campaign manager and work with the candidates, their allies, and volunteers.
  • Manage the day-to-day function of the campaign field operation, particularly door knocking, volunteer mobilization, phone banking, early voting and Election Day poll coverage, sign-waving, and texting.
  • Volunteer management
  • Help with volunteer communications and social media and website updates
  • Schedule and take minutes of all campaign meetings 
  • Other duties as assigned by the campaign manager

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience volunteering or working on Democratic campaigns and/or organizations
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience using NGP/VAN; proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Zoom to run remote meetings and events;
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. 

Job Title: State Legislative Community Liaison
Location: College Park & Laurel, MD

Job Description:

The Team is recruiting a well-organized, driven, self-starter to oversee and manage community outreach initiatives, and special events, and coordinate community relations activities for campaign proposals.

Responsibilities include:
  • Will report to the Chief of Staff and work with the candidates, their allies, and volunteers. 
  • Manage the weekly community outreach initiatives and special events. 
  • Work with scheduling the volunteers for various events to ensure adequate manpower.
  • Tend the monthly larger special/community events in the local area, responsible for transporting community marketing materials, booth set up/break-down, and scheduling booth volunteer staff coverage
  • Other duties as assigned by the Field Operations Director and/or Chief of Staff

  • Experience volunteering, strong communication skills
  • active listening skills; attention to detail; organized and patient, ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Must be charismatic and be a people person
