Science Competitions Advocating for Learning Equity (SCALE) is a new student run organization that focuses on bridging the gap between STEM and students in underprivileged schools. We host competitions in the Prince George’s County Public School system in order to promote equity and spark interest in the students towards STEM, something our volunteers have a huge role in helping to execute!
This semester we plan to have general body meetings every third Thursday of the month (reminders will be sent out accordingly). These meetings will intend to keep all members up to date and act as an opportunity for all club members to learn about the competitions in preparation for entering the schools.
Our first in person volunteer interest meeting will be on 9/15 at 5pm in CHM 2201. We hope to see you all there!!
