MLAW Program and BUSBOYS & POETS Presents “The Stakes Is High: Democracy and the Election of 2022: Community Discussion, Music, and Poetry from Poets from the American Poetry Museum"

On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, 7:00 – 9:00 PM, the University of Maryland’s MLAW Program’s LAW, ART, and ACTIVISM SERIES returns to Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville, Maryland with a program of music, poetry, and discussion devoted to the Election of 2022 and Democracy.

The program will include a Q&A with -

  • Discussion on Election of 2022 and Democracy
  • Open Mic Poetry, hosted by Brian G. Gilmore, Poet and MLAW Program
  • Senior Lecturer
  • Music from bassist, Emory Diggs;
  • Remarks from Dr. Robert Koulish, Director, MLAW Program

Poets bring your poems; we’ve got the microphone!

Cover charge - $5.00 (Most appreciated). UMD students can register in advance for travel to and from event from campus.
