Apply by Mary 27 for Paid Social and Behavior Change Internship

The Global Marketing Department at PSI is looking for a student intern to assist the social and behavior change (SBC) team in developing and documenting PSI’s SBC framework. The intern will work closely with the Senior SBC Technical Advisor and Global Marketing Technical Advisor.

The internship will be for 15-20 hours a week for a period of three months, with the potential for extending the contract. A competitive hourly rate will be provided.

Your contribution
  • Assist in thinking and development of a graphical framework for PSI’s approach to SBC 
  • Support developing and documentation of PSI’s process for SBC 
  • Document in case studies several innovative approaches to SBC from across the PSI global network 
  • Conduct literature review on SBC theories across various behaviors, health areas and regions 
  • Support the development of a tool for theory selection that walks users through key considerations and questions 
  • Support development of guidance and training for PSI staff on theory selection and implementation 
  • Support development of implementation guidance to integrate user centered design approaches into research and marketing projects 
  • Handle logistics of meetings for monthly internal SBC working group and participate in group meetings 
  • Assist with meeting logistics for external meetings with various stakeholders 
  • Other duties as assigned 
What are we looking for?
  • Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in public health or a related field 
  • Experience or interest in social and behavior change communication 
  • Experience or interest in working in emerging markets 
  • Strong English language writer and editor 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
