Terps for Change Applications Closing Soon!

Join a group of dedicated students working to make an impact in our local community!
Terps for Change Volunteers engage in meaningful, longitudinal service at one of our ten community partners in the area surrounding the University of Maryland. In addition to volunteering for 2-3 hours a week, UMD students use a one hour weekly meaningful dialogue to reflect and learn more about the social issues that they work with at their site. More information about our available community partners can be found here: https://go.umd.edu/terps4change

A volunteer at one of the education sites says this about her experience: "I enjoy tutoring at Northwestern because I love seeing the students’ enthusiasm when understanding the subjects that they are working on. The lightbulb moment is priceless, when they understand their work to a new level! It’s kind of a two way street; you grow as much as they do in the time you spend together. I would recommend tutoring at Northwestern because learning about the education inequity firsthand is eye opening and not something we get to see or talk about every day in the UMD bubble."

Interested in joining us? The final deadline for all sites is September 14th! The application can be found here: https://go.umd.edu/t4c
