"I Ask for Consent": It's Sexual Assault Awareness Month!

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and this year’s campaign theme is “I Ask for Consent.”

Putting consent into practice is one important tool toward ending sexual harassment, abuse and assault. (Check out the graphic—with thanks to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center for sharing!)

Join OCRSM (the Office of Civil Rights & Sexual Misconduct—part of the ODI team!) as they commemorate the 19th annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month. And follow our campus partners @CAREUMD on Twitter for more information throughout the rest of April. The schedule includes:
  • This week: Consent Campaign
  • Next week: Support Survivors Campaign
  • Last week of April: Denim Day and the Moving Forward Campaign

There's also an online trivia night on April 30—stay tuned for more!
