Support for Responding to Online Hate-Bias Incidents

Starting April 6th, 2020, Bias Incident Support Services (B.I.S.S.) within the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, will host virtual drop in hours to provide support, advocacy and guidance to those impacted by online hate-bias incidents. These virtual drop in hours will take place Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 11am-1pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays 2-4pm. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, and the switch to virtual learning and working, there has been an increase in online hate-bias incidents throughout colleges and universities. The impact and harm caused to those targeted is significant, and continues when they are offline.

During these unprecedented times,  B.I.S.S. wants to ensure that individuals impacted by online hate-bias incidents receive continued support, and that others receive guidance on how to effectively respond. If you are not available during any of the drop in hours, please feel free to contact us at Please feel free to share this message. Stay healthy and safe.
