Safe, Fair and Full Election Participation Panels

Trusting the Results: Delivering a Fair Election (10/12/20)
How do we uphold the integrity of the election results? Join the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, participating BIG10 universities and leading public health and elections experts for the second in a collaborative special speaker series that discusses safe, fair and full election participation.

This panel will focus on both the security of election systems and normalizing the likelihood that a result may not be available immediately on election day. Panelists will draw upon election administration, security, and process communication expertise to inform the principles for assessing a “fair” election.

Empowering Voters: An Accessible and Full Ballot Box (10/19/20)
How do we mobilize turnout for the election? Join the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, participating BIG10 universities and leading public health and elections experts for the third session in this collaborative special speaker series that discusses safe, fair and full election participation

Panelists will focus on turnout of historically disenfranchised groups of voters as well as the threat to turnout posed by the pandemic. Discussion will seek to address community organization and voter protection stakeholders and experts to identify best principles and practices for assessing a “full” election.
