African American Wellness Project: Internships Avaliable! 

The African American Wellness Project (AAWP) is a non-profit that was formed to respond to inequities in the health care delivery system and is committed to improving the way in which African Americans interact with the health care system. AAWP Project is seeking 2 communications interns to work virtually during the Fall semester to support the organization and the assist with the new recently launched podcast, Black Doctors Speak.

  • Conduct research
  • Create social media graphics
  • Pull content for website
  • Edit documents
  • Search google articles
  • Assist with the execution and promotion of special events
  • Prepare social media content
  • Develop media lists
  • Draft press releases and media advisories
  • Distribute newsletters
  • Update database list
Qualifications include:
  • Strong customer service
  • Computer and Internet abilities
  • Social media skills
  • Solid research and analytical skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask
  • Writing and research skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • A desire to learn
