The Feller Center in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences is your co-located hub for academic advising and career planning services.
The Feller Center Academic Advisors educate, support, and empower students while setting and communicating academic support and benchmarks for a successful and timely academic journey.
The BSOS College has a dual advising model where students have access to academic advisors in the College as well as in their individual departments and programs, so students are able to access integrated advising services in many places in the College.
The BSOS Advising Center is currently offering remote and in-person advising appointments on the following topics and more:
- Academic Planning
- BSOS Majors and Minors
- BSOS policies and procedures
- BSOS Plus One, LEP and General Education requirements
We also offer Drop-in advising sessions for quick student inquiries. These sessions are currently available virtually, Monday - Friday, during the fall and spring semesters, from 1-4pm.
The Feller Center Career Planning team works closely with the BSOS Advising team, the BSOS Department advisors, as well as BSOS faculty and instructors to integrate career exploration and professional development into each students’ academic experience. Additionally, we complement the services offered by the University Career Center to deliver enhanced services for BSOS majors.
The Career Planning team hosts programs/events as well as individual appointments on the topics below:
- Career exploration
- Developing application materials
